The "It's my future" module provides students in the nine-year school with practical information that begins to introduce them to the world of work. Students will begin to develop their self-image and develop skills necessary to gain a job. The module addresses the following issues:
Developing a personal brand;
Skills, interests, work environment, and future employment considerations when exploring careers and industries;
Career mapping;
Tools for finding employment;
Complementary skills, work ethic, and professionalism.
During this module, students understand that the decisions they make in nine-year school can have a direct impact on their present and future; examine the career clusters and types of work they want to observe further in each; Understand the basic tools for searching for a job, including the application form, resumes, recommendations, and interviewing; understand the difference between technical and supplementary skills.
