Advancing Debate Skills for Effective Participation

We are excited to announce the successful completion of the "Training for Young Ambassadors" session conducted in Tirana from January 22nd to 25th, 2024, as part of the DEEP (Debate Education for Effective Participation) project. This multi-day event provided young people with invaluable insights into various forms of active participation in decision-making, with a special focus on the use of deliberative methods to advocate for changes in the local community.

The training aimed to develop democratic competences and civic awareness among young people, fostering their inclusion in participatory decision-making models. By implementing various methods of informal education and strengthening the competences of young individuals, the DEEP project strives to empower youth with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes for active citizenship.

Over the course of four days, 25 students from 5 secondary schools in Tirana actively participated in the training, engaging in interactive workshops, discussions, and practical exercises. They learned about different forms of civic engagement, explored effective advocacy strategies, and gained hands-on experience in using deliberative methods to address community issues.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the participants for their hard work and dedication throughout the training. Their commitment and enthusiasm are commendable, and we are confident that they will continue to make significant contributions to their communities as empowered young ambassadors for change.

As we move forward, let us harness the knowledge and skills gained during this training to develop innovative solutions that will lead to real change in our communities. Together, we can create a brighter and more inclusive future for all.

Let's continue our journey towards a more participatory and empowered society. Thank you to all our young ambassadors for their inspiring efforts!
