JAA Proudly Launches Girls Go Circular Initiative in Albania!

Junior Achievement Albania (JAA) is thrilled to announce the launch of Girls Go Circular (GGC) in Albania! This groundbreaking EU initiative aims to equip girls aged 14-19 with essential digital and entrepreneurial skills through an innovative online learning platform focused on the circular economy.

Girls Go Circular is aligned with Action 13 of the Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027, which seeks to encourage women's participation in STEM fields and promote gender equality. Coordinated by EIT RawMaterials, with support from the EIT Community and the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport, and Culture (DG EAC), this initiative is set to make a significant impact on education and gender equality in Albania.

The project will be piloted in 6 high schools and 1 VET school across different cities in Albania. At the core of Girls Go Circular is the Circular Learning Space, an engaging online platform designed to deepen students' understanding of the circular economy while enhancing their digital competencies. The learning program, aligned with DigComp, EntreComp, and GreenComp standards, follows a learning-by-doing approach to foster active participation and practical learning experiences.

Moreover, Girls Go Circular actively supports EIT's flagship Deep Tech Talent Initiative by integrating deep tech topics into school curricula, preparing students for the future workforce.

The learning program engages students in hands-on activities, both individually and in groups, motivating them to find solutions to major societal challenges. Through Girls Go Circular, our aim is to empower girls to become agents of change in the digital and green transition, inspiring enthusiasm for STEM disciplines and breaking down gender stereotypes.

JAA is proud to be part of this transformative initiative and looks forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on the lives of young girls in Albania.
