The Executive Director of Junior Achievement of Albania, Mrs. Blerina Guga and Kleo Zane, alumni of JAA, co-founder of Switch Technology and winner of a grant from the JUP startup support program, were invited to Scan TV's START show to talk about the work and impact that Junior Achievement of Albania ( JAA) does every day with young Albanians.
Ms. Guga once again emphasized JAA's commitment to providing comprehensive financial education, job readiness and entrepreneurship education to students in every corner of Albania, regardless of their location. She also underlined the importance of integrating innovative educational methods that match global developments to support the traditional education system.
Kleo Zane, JAA alumni and co-founder of Switch Technologies, a company already established in the market outside the metropolis that offers training for coders, programmers and graphic designers and operates in Elbasan, brought the success story from the Junior Up 1.0 program.
Three startups, including Switch Technologies, have been supported during 2023 in the first implementation of Junior Up with a grant of 10 thousand USD. This investment has catalyzed a remarkable return of approximately USD 210K to date for these startups collectively, along with a significant increase in their workforce from 8 to 21 employees.
The conversation gave reflections on the main role of JAA in the cultivation of entrepreneurial talent and the significant economic contribution of these efforts in the Albanian landscape and beyond, touched on the need for continuous professional and teacher training and not only, the increase of digital skills and retraining of flexibility to adapt to the local and global labor market, which is changing at a dizzying pace.
