The academic year 2021-2022 marked the establishment for the first time of JAA Debate Clubs in 23 schools of higher secondary education in Albania. 460 students part of these clubs developed skills as debaters, how to develop research, prepare for debate arguments, improved communication and presentation skills in public.
After the experience gained in the Regional Debate, 60 students participated in the First National Debate of high schools, organized by JA of Albania on September 24, 2022. The participants represented the Debate Clubs of schools from the cities of Tirana, Gramsh, Korçë, Elbasan, Kuçovo , Durrës, Permet, Kukës, Saranda and Shkodër.
The main stages of the debate were successfully carried out in the premises of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Tirana. Participating clubs faced each other and the team of "Debating Economics" judges to debate a topic as complex as it is current: "This House would ban the use of Digital Rights Management technologies". ).
The final debate session pitted the finalist teams of the "Kostandin Kristoforidhi" Elbasan school against "5 Tetori" Kuçovo.
The debating team of the "Kostandin Kristoforidhi" Elbasan school is the winner of the First National High School Debate organized by Junior Achievement of Albania.
