Another exciting chapter of innovation and entrepreneurship unfolded at this year's Junior UP Demo Day! After 10 months of training, mentoring and testing, the 7 startups reached the important day to proudly display their potential. As JA Alumni, these entrepreneurs have raised expectations as a result of their positive performance, devoting themselves to transforming their visionary ideas into reality.
In the Junior UP 2.0 group, 7 ambitious startups took the stage, each with a unique solution to make a significant impact on the local community and beyond:
1. Multimedia Innovation Center
2. N’arte
3. Ontime
4. Real Albanian
5. RentX
6. The Path
7. Tralala.
The startups presented in front of a challenging jury consisting of:
1. Grant Van Cleve, President of the American Chamber of Commerce and co-founder of Holberton School Albania
2. Dritan Mezini, Founder of DuaPune and DM Consulting
3. Ravik Mima, Representative of Kieretsu Forum
The 'rules of the game' were simple, each startup would present for 3 minutes followed by a question and answer session with the judges. Each startup thus had the opportunity to give even more information in the question-and-answer session on issues that showed the potential of generating money. The event ended with the awarding of prizes to the startups that were determined by the jury as winners, after a session common assessment. The startups that were evaluated at the end were:
1. Real Albanian - $10,000 - Arsen Cenaj, Jessica Dornieden
2. RentX - $10,000 - founded by Aleksander Ndoci, Ledio Dyrmishi
3. N'arte - $7,000 - founded by Zhdanova Lleshaj, Paskualina Lleshaj
4. The Path - $7,000 - founded by Artemisa Bajrami, Beki Heta, Ada Osmani, Boris Kau, Aldi Janina
The teams will be assisted with mentoring and support from JAA staff and JUP Program experts over the next 12 months.
