Junior Achievement of Albania (JAA), with the support of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), successfully organized the JAA Business and Innovation Camp on November 6, 2024, at the Pyramid of Tirana. This
one-day event aimed to equip young people from refugee backgrounds with essential business and financial knowledge, fostering creativity and entrepreneurial thinking.
Eleven students participated, working in small teams to identify community challenges, develop business proposals, and present their innovative solutions. Through mentorship from JAA staff and alumni, participants explored key areas such as financial literacy, business planning, and problem-solving.
Unlike traditional competitions, the camp provided a non-competitive, hands-on learning experience, ensuring that all students received equal recognition for their efforts. Each participant was awarded a certificate of attendance and a commemorative gift.
Key Highlights of the Camp:
Practical Learning: Students engaged in real-world problem-solving and business development.
Mentorship: Guidance from JAA experts and alumni to refine business ideas.
Team Collaboration: Working in small groups to encourage teamwork and idea-sharing.
Financial & Business Literacy: Learning the basics of budgeting, marketing, and planning.
Recognition for All: Certificates and gifts awarded to all participants.
This initiative underscores JAA’s commitment to inclusivity and youth empowerment, offering students the tools and confidence to pursue future opportunities in business and entrepreneurship. The camp’s success highlights the importance of practical education in preparing young minds for real-world challenges.
