The DEEP Project (Debate for Empowerment and Engagement in Public Education) concluded its impactful 20-month journey with a successful final event in Tirana last week. This project played a crucial role in empowering 50 students, 30 educators, and civil society workers from both Albania and Croatia, providing them with essential tools to tackle real-world challenges through debate and civic engagement.

Dragana Ljevara, from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia, provided valuable remarks on the project's regional importance.
The presentation of innovative educational materials aimed at sustaining the debate model in schools, ensuring the longevity of the project’s outcomes.
Recognition of exceptional student-led projects, such as:
Harry Fultz Institute: Proposing solutions for standardized testing in Albania.
Sami Frashëri High School: Presenting innovative ideas for future classrooms.
Partizani High School: Presenting a vision for digital classrooms.
Additional schools, including Arben Broci and Asim Vokshi High Schools, greatly benefited from the project, embracing innovation, critical thinking, and civic participation in education.
This event underscores the success of DEEP in fostering key skills such as critical thinking, public speaking, and collaboration, proving that debate is not just a conversation, but a powerful tool for meaningful change. The completion of this project marks a significant milestone in JAA’s commitment to enhancing youth empowerment and engagement in Albania and Croatia.
