We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the "Leader for a Day" teacher training session held in March 2024. This training, which is the second in our series aimed at enhancing learning methodologies, was attended by 21 teachers from VET schools in Korça. The session focused on experiential learning, specifically on the practice of students' job shadowing in businesses. This initiative was conducted within the framework of the INNOVET project funded by GIZ.
During this session, teachers were introduced to innovative methodologies designed to prepare students for apprenticeships and internships. The training covered essential aspects such as helping students create their first CVs and maximizing the benefits of their job shadowing experiences. Our experts presented strategies for effectively guiding students through the application process, ensuring they are well-prepared to embark on their professional journeys.
The "Leader for a Day" training session emphasized the importance of experiential learning, providing teachers with the tools to enhance their students' practical skills and real-world readiness. By adopting these methodologies, teachers can better support their students in securing and succeeding in apprenticeships and internships, ultimately bridging the gap between academic learning and professional practice.
This training is part of Junior Achievement Albania's (JAA) ongoing commitment to improving vocational education and training (VET) in Albania. We believe that by equipping teachers with advanced teaching techniques and practical tools, we can significantly impact the quality of education and the future success of our students.
The "Leader for a Day" training session, along with our previous and future training initiatives, underscores our dedication to fostering excellence in VET schools. We extend our gratitude to all the teachers who participated and to our expert trainers for their invaluable contributions.
These impactful training sessions were made possible through the support of the INNOVET project funded by GIZ, emphasizing our commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in vocational education and training.
We look forward to continuing our efforts in enhancing education and empowering teachers and students alike.
