Junior Achievement of Albania (JAA) is proud to announce the successful participation of our teams from the JuniorUP program in the most unique startup conference in Europe: Pirate Summit. For those who don't know, Pirate Summit represents a unique gathering of entrepreneurship enthusiasts around the globe. More than one conference; Pirate Summit is a testament to the indomitable spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. This year, it was held in Cologne, Germany, with over 1,200 selected participants and a theme that means reconnecting, relearning and of course celebration. Of the many innovative startups that participated, three were part of our JuniorUP program: Subitis, Artsopolis and Real Albanian.Pirate Summit provided a platform for these startups to connect, learn and create meaningful exchanges with entrepreneurs, leaders and investors from all over Europe. Arsen Cenaj, the creator of "Real Albanian" says that participation in "Pirates Summit "It was a truly unique experience. He says that the opportunity to meet people from the business world in such an environment was like a bridge where he could connect many professional relationships. When asked what lessons he learned from this summit, Arseni said: "One of the biggest lessons was that in the business world numbers really matter and if you want to succeed you really have to know how to understand them. In all meetings with different investors you understand that for any business idea you have to have a clear job market, and then understand if your business idea has a market that really needs that service." Further, when asked about the most interesting parts, he said "I would single out the workshops by Eric Czuleger, especially his lessons on the art of storytelling. In the business world, and especially when making a presentation in front of a jury or investors, you must have the ability to good storytelling in order to be heard and convey the message in the most pleasant way." Our other rising star, Samuel Koci, founder of Subitis, also had a rich experience at Pirate Summit. Samuel emphasized the value of networking and learning from the pitches of some of the best startups in Germany. This exposure, he noted, will greatly improve his presentation skills. He further added, "Last but not least: we had a good time with the group and enjoyed ourselves!" Junior Achievement Albania is proud of the teams and proud of their journey so far. These experiences at international platforms such as Pirate Summit provide tremendous learning opportunities for our startups, propelling them to success in the highly competitive world of entrepreneurship. As we celebrate these achievements, we remain committed to nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit among Albanian youth. With the JuniorUP program, we continue to support young innovators and entrepreneurs, providing them with the resources and guidance to make their mark on the world. We congratulate our participating teams for representing Albania at the Pirate Summit, showcasing the caliber and potential of entrepreneurs youth of our nation. Their journey reminds us that the treasure we seek as pirates in the entrepreneurial world is not just wealth or success, but the relentless pursuit of innovation, the courage to take risks and the passion to make a difference.
