Developing the capacities of students
117 managers of 70 Student Companies established as part of the JAA program through trainings carried out in the period February-March 2023 further developed their knowledge and skills on two important components of this program: Company Report and Presentation and Communication in Public.
The training sessions were interactive and practical and gave the Company managers the opportunity to gain new knowledge, to develop and practice their skills through a series of activities and exercises, to exchange experiences and challenges with the application of this Program with other Companies.
The success of the trainings was proven by the positive reactions of the participants. Many reported that they felt more confident in their ability to communicate and present their ideas effectively, and will reflect on the knowledge and skills developed as they progress to subsequent stages of the Student Company Programme. .
The third training for debate clubs in universities
140 students from the debate clubs of 8 Faculties and Universities across Albania participated in the third training session focused on "Public Speaking and Communication Skills" as part of the "Debating Economics" program by Junior Achievement of Albania.
During the training, participants learned about effective communication techniques in debate, including how to structure a persuasive argument, speak confidently and clearly, and engage with their audience.
After completing the third training session, students will enter a preparatory phase in which they will be fully equipped to participate in the national inter-university debate competition.
Empowering Teachers to Improve Teaching Techniques: Accredited Training in Student Assessment and Classroom Management
During the month of March, 237 teachers participated in a series of accredited trainings focused on student assessment and classroom management. Led by experienced professionals, the trainings offered practical strategies and tools for improving student learning outcomes and creating positive classroom environments.
Participants were introduced to different assessment methods and explored different approaches to classroom management, including building positive relationships with students and dealing with challenging behaviour. The interactive and engaging training received positive feedback, with participants gaining new knowledge and strategies to apply in their classrooms.
Investing in teacher professional development not only improves the quality of education, but also supports student learning and success.

"Debating Economics": 1st HS Regional Debate
The first regional high school debate for this year took place in Tirana on April 1 as part of the Debating Economics program by Junior Achievement of Albania.
A total of 18 secondary schools from the region participated in the event, with around 54 students, who debated with each other in three debate sessions. The participants represented their schools' debate clubs from the cities of Tirana, Kavaja, Shijak, Dibra, Kuçova, Lezha, Fier, Përmet, Korça and Kukës. The debate sessions were intense, with students demonstrating their research skills and public speaking.
Judges evaluated the students based on their arguments, teamwork and presentation. The Regional Debate was aimed at promoting and increasing the debating capacities of participants in high school debating clubs as part of the JAA Debating Economics Program.
During the activity, students had the opportunity to put into practice all the skills acquired during the training and debating sessions within their club with their peers from other schools. After regional debate, debate clubs will be ranked to identify qualified teams that will advance to the National Debate Competition.
